Teeth Whitening

Crowns

If you are experiencing a fractured tooth, old filling, or severe damage due to decay, a dental crown or cap could be the right option for you. Crowns restore strength and protect the existing tooth so the appearance of your smile is restored.

At Dr. Raetz’s office, we have the technology to prepare your tooth for a crown, fabricate it in the office, and cement it all in one visit. This cuts down on the number of appointments you would normally have to make and avoids having a temporary crown. Digital images will be taken of your tooth, then a crown is designed using a chairside computer-based system, and then milled and fabricated while you wait.

Bridges

A missing tooth can be quite distracting and have a great impact on your dental health and appearance. Even if it’s just one missing tooth, the existing teeth can potentially drift out of position, changing your bite, losing additional teeth, and causing decay or gum disease.

When tooth loss occurs, the placement of a bridge may be recommended. A bridge is one or more replacement teeth anchored by crowns on each side. Initially, teeth on each side of the space are prepared to receive crowns and an impression is made of the entire area. This is sent out to a dental laboratory for fabrication of the permanent bridge. A plastic temporary bridge is worn while the permanent bridge is being fabricated.
