Preventive Teeth Cleaning
Caring for your teeth is important for your oral hygiene, and your overall health and wellness. Although incorporating proper brushing, flossing, and mouthwash into your daily routine maintains healthy hygiene habits, it’s important to visit us for a thorough teeth cleaning at least twice a year. During your visit, we will perform a complete examination of your mouth to make sure everything is functioning as it should be. Our team of dental hygienists is here to answer any questions or concerns you have, and educate you on teeth-cleaning practices to maintain a healthy mouth.
If you’re experiencing pain, consult our practice and the root canal process will be completed in a number of steps.
- We will take an X-Ray of your tooth to assess the location and severity of damage.
- Then, a local anesthetic will be administered to the damaged tooth.
- An opening, called a “pulpectomy” is made and the decayed pulp is removed from the tooth.
- Since the root of the tooth has been opened, a temporary filling, with either gold or porcelain, will be usedto seal the area . A metal or resin post may be added for structural support or to help retain restorative materials.
Oral Conscious Sedation
We understand the intimidation that goes hand-in-hand with a visit to the dentist. Whether you’ve had a bad experience, or feeling fearful, we offer several safe sedation methods to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Don’t let fear get in the way of receiving the care you need!
General anesthesia is most commonly administered for lesser dental procedures so you don’t feel any pain. When anxiety levels are high before a more intensive treatment, sleep sedation is a safe way to not feel any pain or discomfort. Patients are given a pill an hour before the appointment. Additional pills are offered if anxiety is higher than expected when you come to the practice. Your heart rate and oxygen levels will be closely and carefully monitored throughout the entirety of the procedure. You’ll then wake up with a healthy mouth and a bright smile. You may not even remember the treatment at all!
